How to set a link to the newsletter or other page as a favourite on your pc.
When you receive the link by email for the latest newsletter click on the link to open it. To save it, click on Favourite, Bookmarks or whatever your browser calls its Database of WebPages, then click add.
How to send information to the newsletter editor for publication.
Items for
the newsletter should be sent to the editor via email or post, using the guide
lines below.
Currently the
Editor is Richard Jolliffe G3ZGC.
These guidelines are intended for anyone supplying material for the newsletter by e-mail or on a disc. Please don't let the guide-lines put you off, but they will help us if you can try to comply.
For text use the font Times
New Roman, size 10, with headings in capitals, bold and underlined. Use only one
'return' between paragraphs and two returns between the end of each section and
the heading for the next. Microsoft ‘Publisher’ will automatically add the
spaces between paragraphs so please don't try and do them with two returns, as
is normal in e-mails, or someone has to go through it and delete all the extra
ones!
The images direct from a modern digital camera are generally far too large for use in the newsletter (or the website). Please use Photoshop or other suitable imaging program to resize your original image to reduce the pixel count on the longest side to about 600 pixels. Then save the image as a .jpg, adjusting the quality slider to yield a file size of something not much more than 120KB. Please indicate where images should be placed in a document by including a caption. Supply each image as separate files with a name to tie it to the caption, not embedded in the text. In Publisher the images will be placed above the appropriate captions.
