Vulcan To The Sky Appeal - GB0VUL
The on-line logbook is here
The VTTS website is here
In 2009 Newbury And District Amateur Radio Society (NADARS) activated GB0VUL for one weekend and made over 500 contacts
worldwide.
This helped raise the profile of the Vulcan To That Sky project not only in the UK and Europe but all over the world.
This year we are activating the same call for a whole month (March 2010) and we hope to work as many stations and countries as possible.
GB0VUL will be run by 4 members of NADARS, again to promote awareness of the ongoing campaign to keep the last Vulcan (XH558)
flying. This will give us more time to promote the Vulcan but also give others more chance to work GB0VUL. We hope to operate as many
bands and modes as possible, to give everyone the best possible chance to work GB0VUL.
The main event of the month will be an "open weekend" at the ATC hall in St Michaels Road in Newbury
- all are welcome to attend.
The ATC Hall will be open to the public from 10am till 8pm on Sat 20th March 2010 and 10am till 4pm on Sun 21st March 2010.
Along with members of NADARS and the GB0VUL Radio Station there will be a small Vulcan Exhibition, and a chance to learn more about the ATC
We at NADARS look forward to working you on the air, or seeing you in person at the ATC hall. 73 to you all from NADARS.
